From branch campus to independent school.
Shetou Junior High originated in 1962 as the Shetou branch campus of Changhua County Tianzhong Junior High School. It became an independent school in 1964, named "Changhua County Shetou Junior High School" (彰化縣立社頭初級中學). In 1968, with the nationwide introduction of nine-year compulsory education, it was renamed to its current name, Shetou Junior High. Today, the school offers specialized sports classes in track and field, badminton, and basketball, along with summer camps in MV dance and violin.
