Shengang Industrial Vocational Senior High School was founded in 1956 and, for decades, operated as a junior high school. In August 2020, it was converted into a complete secondary school by adding a senior-high Mechanical Engineering track, while continuing to run its original junior-high division. The 2020 upgrade made it Shengang's flagship institution for technical and vocational education, directly tying local youth training to central Taiwan's machinery-manufacturing industry.
神岡高工創立於民國45年（1956年），多年來以國中部形式辦學。民國109年（2020年）8月轉型為完全中學，增設高中部機械科，同時保留原有的國中部。此次升格使本校成為神岡地區技職教育的指標學校，直接銜接中台灣機械製造產業對在地青年人才的需求。
