A century-old school of the farming interior.
Santian Elementary was founded in 1918 during the Japanese colonial era, making it Qingshui's second public school after Qingshui Elementary itself. Its name merges two old place-names, Sankuaicuo (三塊厝) and Tianliao (田寮), the farming hamlets it was built to serve. Now over a century old, the school continues to serve the agricultural interior of Qingshui, away from the district's better-known coastline.
