Sanmin Senior High School opened in 1990 as Taipei County Sanmin Junior High School, initially borrowing classrooms and facilities from neighboring Luzhou Junior High School while its own campus was being readied — a common bootstrapping story for schools built during Luzhou's rapid postwar growth. It became a complete secondary school in 1996, adding senior-high grades alongside math/science, language, and physical-education experimental classes, and today operates with an attached junior-high division on one campus.
三民高中創立於民國79年（1990年），初名「臺北縣立三民國民中學」，草創初期曾借用鄰近蘆洲國中的教室與設備上課——這是蘆洲戰後人口快速成長下，許多新設學校共通的草創經驗。民國85年（1996年）改制為完全中學，增設高中部，並開設數理、語文、體育等實驗班，如今設有附屬國中部，兩部合一校運作。
