Built on reclaimed military land.
Sanduo Junior High opened in 2004 on a 2.81-hectare campus in eastern Shulin, on land that had previously served as the Guanghua Army Camp (光華營區) before the Ministry of National Defense donated it for educational use in 2003. As one of the newest junior high schools in the district, it serves the fast-growing residential neighborhoods on Shulin's eastern edge, alongside its namesake Sanduo Elementary School.

Land reclaimed for a new generation.
The reuse of the former Guanghua Army Camp for Sanduo Junior High mirrors a broader pattern across postwar Shulin, where land once devoted to military and agricultural use has steadily been repurposed for residential and educational development as the district urbanized. See the New Taipei county page for more on the region.
