Qixing Elementary was founded in 1959, taking its name from the Qixing ("Seven Stars") area of rural Houli, part of a patchwork of small farming hamlets north of the Dajia River. Now more than 60 years old, the school has recently added a new activity center and kindergarten building, keeping its facilities current while remaining rooted in its farming-community setting.
七星國小創立於民國48年（1959年），校名取自大甲溪以北「七星」地區的農村聚落，屬於后里眾多小型農業聚落之一。如今建校已逾60年，學校近年新建了活動中心與幼兒園校舍，在扎根農村社區的同時持續更新校園設施。
