One of Hsinchu's newest schools, named for a scenic lake.
Qingcaohu Elementary is one of Hsinchu's newer schools, under 20 years old, named for the nearby Qingcaohu (Green Grass Lake) scenic area. For over a decade after opening, the school had no indoor gymnasium, until a new NT$84.45 million two-story multi-function activity center opened in 2024. Its attached kindergarten has won a Gold Award for Teaching Excellence, one of the school's proudest achievements in its short history.
