Puyan Elementary School

Puyan Elementary's roots trace back to a Japanese-language promotion society formed in 1921 and a 1922 branch campus of Haoxiu Public School. The school became fully independent in 1928 under its first principal, Shinohasui Kouji, and took its current name, Puyan Elementary School, in 1957 with the introduction of Taiwan's nine-year compulsory education system. Located along the provincial Zhangshui Road on the eastern side of Puyan Township, the school is now on its 13th principal since August 2024, reflecting nearly a century of continuous operation.

埔鹽國小的歷史可追溯至民國10年（1921年）成立的日語推廣會，以及民國11年（1922年）設立的好修公學校分校。學校於民國17年（1928年）在首任校長篠橋鑛治的帶領下正式獨立設校，並於民國46年（1957年）九年國教實施之際定名為埔鹽國民小學。校址位於埔鹽鄉東側的省道彰水路上，現任校長為第13任校長（自民國113年8月起），見證了學校近百年來的持續辦學歷程。
