Providence University was founded in 1956 (ROC 45) by the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, a Catholic religious congregation. The university has built a strong international-exchange culture, hosting more than 1,000 international students, and its International College offers English-taught degree programs for students from abroad. Today Providence enrolls somewhere between 10,000 and 15,000 students.
靜宜大學創立於民國45年(1956年),由天主教修會「聖母聖心會」的修女創辦。學校擁有深厚的國際交流傳統,逾千名國際學生在此就讀,國際學院並開設全英語授課的學位學程,招收海外學生。現今靜宜大學學生人數約在10,000至15,000人之間。
