Mingzhi Junior High School

Mingzhi Junior High School's history stretches back to 1954, when it opened as the Sanchong branch of Taiwan Provincial Taipei Vocational School. It became Taipei County Mingzhi Junior High School in 1963, and was renamed Mingzhi Junior High School in 1967 as Taiwan introduced nine-year compulsory education, relocating to its current site the same year. Today the school enrolls approximately 1,293 students supported by 177 staff, and runs a coding and programming education initiative under New Taipei City's digital curriculum — a modern layer on top of one of the district's longest institutional histories.

明志國中的歷史可追溯至民國43年（1954年），創校之初為「臺灣省立臺北商業職業學校三重分部」。民國52年（1963年）改制為「臺北縣立明志初級中學」，民國56年（1967年）配合九年國民義務教育推行，更名為「明志國民中學」並遷至現址。學校現有學生約1,293人、教職員177人，並依新北市數位課程推動程式設計教育計畫——為這所三重歷史最悠久中學之一注入新的教學層次。
