A village school rebuilt by its industrial neighbor.
Mingli Elementary School was founded in 1956 as Mailiao Elementary School's Lunhou branch classroom, becoming independent in 1968. As the sole school serving Lunhou Village, it received a major boost in 2014 when Formosa Plastics' Sixth Naphtha complex sponsored a roughly NT$50 million campus rebuild, modernizing facilities for the village's children.

Founded in 1956 as a branch classroom, the school became fully independent in 1968, growing alongside Lunhou Village itself.
Rebuilt alongside Taiwan's petrochemical hub.
The 2014 Sixth Naphtha (六輕)-funded campus rebuild directly ties the school to Mailiao's identity as home to Taiwan's major petrochemical hub, sitting alongside the township's traditional village life. See the Yunlin county page for more on the region.
