Lunbei Junior High School was originally founded in 1958 as a branch of Xiluo Middle School, becoming independent in 1962 under the name "崙背初級中學" before taking its current name in 1968. The school relocated to its current 8.3-hectare campus in 1993 and today offers a visual arts talent program, serving the Zhang-Zhou Hoklo heritage community of Lunbei Township.
