Fongrong Elementary School is historically the parent school that founded Zhonghe Elementary's branch classroom in Caohu Village in 1954, which later became its own independent school. Fongrong itself maintains active academic-competition and sports programs, continuing to serve one of Lunbei Township's older elementary school communities.
