A new school in an old town.
Ludong Elementary began preparations in 1995 and officially opened its doors on August 1, 1998, under founding principal Liang Jinli. The school drew its first students from three existing schools in the area, starting with grades 1 through 5 across 21 classes. An attached kindergarten was added in 2002, and a second campus was completed in 2022 — today the school runs 58 classes across its two campuses, serving the historic town of Lugang.
鹿東國小自民國84年（1995年）開始籌備，於民國87年（1998年）8月1日正式開學，首任校長為梁進立。創校之初，學生來自鄰近三所學校，初期設有一至五年級共21班。民國91年（2002年）附設幼兒園成立，第二校區則於2022年完工啟用，目前兩校區合計共58班，服務歷史古鎮鹿港的學子。
