Longjing Junior High School

Longjing Junior High School was established in 1964, and was renamed with the nationwide reform that introduced nine-year compulsory education in 1968 — the same reform that reshaped junior high schooling across Taiwan. As the district's original and oldest junior high, it serves the historic town core of Longjing, which has functioned as the area's administrative and commercial center since the Qing dynasty and continued through the Japanese colonial era.

龍井國中創立於民國53年（1964年），並於民國57年（1968年）九年國民義務教育改革時更名——這項改革也重塑了全台灣的國中教育體制。作為龍井區歷史最悠久的原始國中，學校服務著龍井老街區，這個自清代以來、歷經日治時期，始終是本地行政與商業中心的歷史核心地帶。
