Lixin Elementary was established in 2001, making it one of the newest elementary schools in Dali. It was built alongside the neighboring Lixin Junior High School in the early 2000s to serve a newly developed residential zone, and added a kindergarten in 2012.
立新國小創立於民國90年（2001年），是大里最新設立的國小之一。學校於2000年代初與鄰近的立新國中同期興建，服務新開發的住宅區，並於民國101年（2012年）附設幼兒園。
