Ling Tung University was founded in 1964 (ROC 53) as an accounting-focused junior college. It reached full university status in 2005. Today the university is organized into four colleges — Business & Management, Design, Fashion, and IT/Livelihood Studies — serving around 6,800 students.
嶺東科技大學創立於民國53年（1964年），初為會計專科學校，於民國94年（2005年）升格為大學。現今學校設有商管、設計、時尚、資訊與民生四大學院，在學學生約6,800人。
