Taixing Elementary began in 1953 as a branch class of Jinhu National School, becoming independent in 1960 and taking its current name in 1968. The school currently operates 6 classes with about 70 students, serving a small farming-and-fishing community whose surrounding landscape is dotted with milkfish aquaculture ponds.
台興國小於民國42年(1953年)以「金湖國小分班」設立,民國49年(1960年)獨立設校,民國57年(1968年)更為現名。學校目前設有6班、約70名學生,服務周邊漁塭遍布的農漁社區。
