Juguang Elementary opened on 1 August 1978 under its first principal, Lin Xiudi, with 45 classes. It grew into one of Banqiao's largest schools, peaking at 117 classes, and today hosts the New Taipei City Calligraphy Teaching Resource Center. Its scouting program is especially strong, having won the overall championship at the national Scout Jamboree in 2018.
莒光國小創校於民國67年（1978年）8月1日，首任校長林秀地，創校初期即有45班規模，後成長為板橋規模最大的學校之一，班級數曾高達117班。校內設有新北市書法教學資源中心，童軍活動表現亮眼，曾於2018年榮獲全國童軍大露營總冠軍。
