The North Coast's first complete school.
Jinshan High School was founded in 1946, becoming the North Coast's first complete school combining junior and senior high divisions. A senior-high division was added in 1996, and the school became a comprehensive high school in 2001, offering tracks in academics, e-commerce, business management, food and beverage, and tourism. Since 2000, the school has run a distinctive Indigenous Arts & Skills Class, teaching Indigenous language, music and dance, and history — a program that reflects the cultural diversity of Taiwan's North Coast. As the sole complete high school serving the region, Jinshan High School anchors secondary education for a coastal township historically built on hot-spring tourism, fishing, and rice farming.
