A remote, century-old campus at the end of the line.
Jingtong Elementary began in 1918 as a branch of Ruifang Elementary School, and became fully independent in 1938. It is one of New Taipei City's officially designated "century schools," recognizing its long history serving a small, remote community in the mountains. The campus sits beside Jingtong Station, the terminus of the historic Pingxi rail line and home to a well-preserved coal-mining-era streetscape that today draws visitors from across Taiwan and abroad.
