Independence for a farming village's branch school.
Jianhua Elementary became an independent school in 1965, having previously operated as a branch campus of Feisha Elementary School in Yangchou. The move to independence gave this small farming community its own school, rooted in Sihu Township's tradition of villages banding together to secure local education for their children.
