Hsinchu Municipal Jiangong Senior High School

Hsinchu Municipal Jiangong Senior High School opened on July 1, 1998, initially as a junior-high-only institution, borrowing facilities from Jiangong Elementary School while its own campus was under construction. It moved into its newly completed teaching building at the current site in August 1999. In August 2001, the school was reorganized as a full junior-senior "complete middle school" and took on its current name. As one of the newer public schools in Hsinchu's East District, it reflects the city's continued population growth and demand for local schooling in recent decades.

建功高中創校於1998年（民國87年）7月1日，初期僅設國中部，並借用建功國小校舍上課，直到自建校舍完工。1999年8月遷入現址新建教學大樓。2001年8月，學校改制為兼具國中部與高中部的完全中學，並定名為現名。作為新竹市東區較新設立的公立學校之一，建功高中的成立反映了近幾十年來當地人口持續成長與在地就學需求的提升。
