Jiangcui Elementary opened in 1919 as a branch campus of Banqiao Public School, becoming independent in 1921 as 江子翠公學校 — Banqiao's second school. Named for 江子翠, the river confluence where the Xindian and Dahan rivers meet the Tamsui River, the school underwent a seven-year, NT$750 million campus rebuild between 2009 and 2016. It now runs a bilingual/dual-language program and gifted programs in art and IT, alongside wrestling and judo teams that have won recent national medals.
江翠國小於1919年（日治時期）以板橋公學校江子翠分校身分成立，1921年獨立設校為「江子翠公學校」，是板橋第二所學校。校名源自江子翠——新店溪、大漢溪匯流入淡水河的三河交會之地。學校於2009年至2016年間歷經七年、耗資新台幣七億五千萬元的校舍重建工程，現設有雙語/雙軌教學班及美術、資訊資優班，柔道與角力隊近年屢獲全國獎牌。
