Jiabao Elementary School

Jiabao Elementary's history stretches back to 1919, when it began as a branch of Haigancuo Public School during the Japanese colonial era. It became an independent school in 1921 under the name Danan Bay Public School (大南灣公學校) — a name recalling "Great South Bay," an old place-name that reflects Linkou's agricultural geography before modern development. Over the following century, the school passed through several name changes tracing Taiwan's shifting educational eras, arriving at its present name.

嘉寶國小的校史可追溯至大正8年（1919年），最初為海漧厝公學校的分校，於大正10年（1921年）獨立設校，校名為「大南灣公學校」——「大南灣」這個舊地名，呈現出林口在現代開發前的農業地貌。百年來歷經數次更名，見證台灣教育體制的變遷，直至今日的校名。
