National Overseas Chinese Senior High School was established in 1955 by Taiwan's Ministry of Education as the only public school dedicated to educating Overseas Chinese students returning to Taiwan for their schooling. Today roughly 78% of its student body is local, with the remaining 22% made up of overseas Chinese students from around 28 countries across five continents — earning the school its nickname, the “Little United Nations.” Alongside its overseas-student program, the school runs a comprehensive high school (綜合高中) track and a junior high division on its Banqiao campus.
國立華僑高級中學創立於民國44年（1955年），由教育部設立，是全台唯一專為返國就學僑生設立的公立學校。如今學校約78%為本地學生，其餘22%則是來自五大洲約28個國家的僑生，因此有「小聯合國」之稱。除了僑生教育之外，學校在板橋校區也開設綜合高中學程與國中部。
