Huanan Elementary School

Huanan Elementary began in 1960 as an eight-class branch school, "Huatan Branch School," covering just 0.3 hectares. It became a fully independent 12-class school on September 16, 1963, under its first principal, Shi Jiongyi, with a new gate, cement grounds, playground equipment, and a water tower on a larger 0.7456-hectare campus. In June 2012, it added the only kindergarten among Huatan Township's elementary schools, and it now offers multicultural and new-immigrant language courses, outdoor education, and summer English camps.

華南國小前身為1960年設立的「花壇分校」，僅有八班、佔地0.3公頃。民國52年（1963年）9月16日獨立設校，首任校長為施烱沂，佔地擴大為0.7456公頃，新建校門、水泥球場、遊樂設施與水塔，成為12班的完整學校。2012年6月，增設全花壇鄉國小中唯一的附設幼兒園，並開設多元文化與新住民語言課程（如越南語）、豐富的戶外教育及暑期英語營隊。
