Hsiuping University of Science and Technology was founded in 1965 (ROC 54) as a home-economics junior college. It reached full university status in 2011. Today the university is organized into four colleges — Engineering, Management, Tourism & Creativity, and General Education — a history rooted in home-economics education that continues to shape parts of its curriculum.
修平科技大學創立於民國54年（1965年），初為家政專科學校，於民國100年（2011年）升格為大學。現今學校設有工程、管理、觀光創意與通識教育四大學院，其家政教育的歷史根源至今仍影響部分課程規劃。
