Xianxi Junior High School

Xianxi Junior High opened on August 1, 1962, under founding principal Huang Xiongwen, as part of a county-wide policy to establish one junior high school per township. It began with just 112 students, borrowing classrooms from neighboring Xianxi Elementary School before gaining independent official junior-high status on July 20, 1964. The school was reorganized as a "national junior high school" in 1968 under the nine-year compulsory education system, and has since marked major milestones including a new gate (1973), campus renovation (1996), track reconstruction (2007), and a new teaching building (2008) — recently celebrating its 60th anniversary.

線西國中於民國51年（1962年）8月1日創校，首任校長為黃雄文，因應縣府「一鄉鎮一國中」政策而設立，創校之初僅有112名學生，借用鄰近線西國小的教室上課。民國53年（1964年）7月20日獲准獨立設校。民國57年（1968年），隨九年國民義務教育實施，改制為國民中學。此後歷經新校門（1973年）、校園整建（1996年）、跑道重建（2007年）、新教學大樓（2008年）等重要建設里程碑，近年並慶祝創校60週年。
