Hequn Junior High School

Hequn Junior High received Ministry approval in 1979 and was officially established on August 1, 1980, initially overseen by a concurrent director from Hemei Junior High, with Chang Baichao appointed as the first official principal on August 23, 1980. In its first year, the school borrowed classrooms from Hemei Junior High and Hemei Elementary before moving to its current site in July 1981. Originally serving 11 villages, the school's district expanded in 2005, and it now spans 53 classrooms and offices, alongside a sports complex completed in 2021 that is shared with the local community.

和群國中於民國68年（1979年）獲教育部核准，民國69年（1980年）8月1日正式成立，初期由和美國中校長張雲霆兼任主任，同年8月23日聘任張百超為首任正式校長。創校首年借用和美國中及和美國小教室上課，民國70年（1981年）7月遷入現址。學區初期涵蓋11個村里，2005年擴大學區範圍，目前共有53間教室與辦公室，並設有一座於2021年完工、與社區共用的運動場館。
