Longshan Elementary School

Longshan Elementary began as a satellite classroom of Hsinchu First Public School on May 2, 1921, in the Putou area, initially borrowing space from a local security-association office. Over the following decades, the school went through many name changes: Hsinchu Third Public School in 1928, Hsinchu City Gaoqiu National School in 1941, Hsinchu City Fifth National School in 1946, and Hsinchu City East District Longshan National School in 1947. The school celebrated its 100th anniversary, and its historic Qunying Building (群英樓) was rebuilt and reopened as a campus landmark in January 2022. Notably, the campus was co-designed with Fieldoffice Architects (田中央聯合建築師事務所) — the same acclaimed firm behind Guanpu Elementary's celebrated new campus.

龍山國小於大正10年（1921年）5月2日成立，最初為新竹第一公學校在埔頂地區的分教場，借用當地保正事務所空間上課。此後歷經多次更名：1928年改為「新竹第三公學校」，1941年改為「新竹市高丘國民學校」，1946年改為「新竹市第五國民學校」，1947年再改為「新竹市東區龍山國民學校」。學校慶祝建校百週年，歷史建築「群英樓」於2022年1月重建落成，成為校園地標。值得一提的是，校園部分由知名建築團隊「田中央聯合建築師事務所」共同設計——正是打造關埔國小新校園的同一團隊。
