Guotai Elementary School

Guotai Elementary's history reaches back to 1919, when it began as "Xingzhi School's Xisheng Branch School," a small teaching site serving the riverside farming settlement of Xisheng. The school relocated to its present site in 1950, was renamed Guotai National School in 1963, and became Guotai National Elementary School in 1968. It celebrated its centennial in May 2019 and, over the decades, has spun off three other elementary schools as Xinzhuang's population grew — most recently completing a major seismic-reinforcement and campus renovation between 2015 and 2019.

國泰國小的歷史可追溯至1919年設立的「興直學校西盛分教場」，最初是服務西盛河濱農村聚落的小型教學據點。學校於1950年遷至現址，民國52年（1963年）更名為國泰國民學校，民國57年（1968年）改制為國泰國民小學。2019年5月舉辦建校百週年慶祝活動，數十年來已陸續分出三所國小，見證新莊人口的持續成長；校舍也於2015至2019年間完成大規模耐震補強與校園整建工程。
