Guashan Elementary School

Guashan Elementary began as a branch school in 1918 and became independent in 1922. Located in Jinguashi, once one of Taiwan's most productive gold-mining towns, the school has been renamed multiple times over the decades — from "Jinguashi Public School" (金瓜石公學校) to "Jinguashi East National School" (金瓜石東國民學校) before becoming today's Guashan Elementary. It incorporates the area's mining landscape and geology directly into its environmental-education curriculum.

瓜山國小1918年以分校形式創立，1922年獨立設校。學校位於曾是臺灣最重要金礦產地之一的金瓜石，歷經多次更名——從「金瓜石公學校」到「金瓜石東國民學校」，最終定名為今日的瓜山國小。學校將當地的礦業地景與地質直接融入環境教育課程之中。
