Guangzheng Elementary began as a branch school in 1952 and became independent in 1957. It serves children from Beishi, Nanshi, and Dingtai villages, three rural communities near the Wu River on Wufeng's western edge. The surrounding landscape of rice paddies and mushroom-growing sheds has shaped daily life for generations of the school's families.
光正國小自民國41年(1952年)以分校形式設立,於民國46年(1957年)獨立設校。學校服務北柿、南柿與頂太等村落的學童,這幾處聚落座落於霧峰西側、烏溪畔的鄉間地帶。周遭的稻田與菇寮景觀,形塑了世代學生家庭的日常生活樣貌。
