Guandong Elementary School

Guandong Elementary began on August 1, 1957 as a branch campus of Longshan National School, becoming a fully independent school one year later, on August 1, 1958. Its first principal, Liu De-ming, was appointed in February 1959. In 1961, an overseas Chinese community member, Zheng Mao-qi, based in Japan, donated a flag platform and reviewing stand to the school. A new school gate was completed in 1962, followed by additional science classrooms in 1963. With nearly 62 years of history, the school today sits near TSMC Fab 12, National Chiao Tung University, and National Tsing Hua University, at the heart of the Science Park corridor.

關東國小前身為龍山國民學校的分校，成立於民國46年（1957年）8月1日，隔年（1958年）8月1日正式獨立設校。首任校長劉德明於民國48年（1959年）2月到任。1961年，旅日僑胞鄭茂旗捐贈司令台與升旗台予學校。新校門於1962年完工，科學教室則於1963年增建完成。學校校史近62年，如今座落於台積電十二廠、國立交通大學與國立清華大學附近，正處於科學園區走廊的核心地帶。
