Gouba Elementary School

Gouba Elementary began in 1919 as a branch school and became independent in 1922, giving it over a century of continuous history. The school marked its centennial with celebrations that included an orienteering "treasure hunt" challenge for students. Perhaps most notably, the campus holds a historic Allied POW camp memorial marker, officially recognized in Taiwan's National Cultural Memory Bank — a tangible link to the region's World War II history.

溝壩國小創校於民國8年（1919年），最初為分校，民國11年（1922年）獨立設校，至今已逾百年歷史。學校曾舉辦包含定向越野「尋寶」挑戰在內的百年校慶活動。校園內設有一座盟軍戰俘營紀念碑，並經台灣「國家文化記憶庫」正式收錄，是連結地方二戰歷史的重要見證。
