Taichung Industrial Vocational High School was founded in 1938 under Japanese rule as "Taichung Prefectural Taichung Industrial School," and it later became recognized as one of Taiwan's historic "eight major provincial industrial schools." Today it offers more than 15 technical departments and maintains sister-school ties with Germany's Max-Eyth-Schule. Generations of its graduates went on to help build central Taiwan's postwar machinery and manufacturing industries.

臺中工業高級中等學校創立於1938年日治時期,原名「臺中州立臺中工業學校」,後被列為台灣著名的「八大省立工業學校」之一。目前學校設有15個以上的技術科系,並與德國Max-Eyth-Schule締結姊妹校。歷屆畢業生協助打造了中台灣戰後的機械與製造產業基礎。
