Gaomei Elementary School

Gaomei Elementary traces its roots to 1919, becoming fully independent in 1941. The school sits beside the mouth of the Dajia River, next to the famous Gaomei Wetlands — a 1,500-hectare tidal flat and bird sanctuary that draws visitors from across Taiwan. In recent years, the school's rainbow-painted running track has become a local landmark in its own right, popular as a photo spot on social media.

高美國小創校可追溯至1919年，於民國30年（1941年）正式獨立設校。學校坐落於大甲溪出海口旁，緊鄰著名的高美濕地——一片佔地1,500公頃、吸引全台遊客造訪的潮間帶與候鳥棲息地。近年來，學校彩虹色的跑道也成為當地熱門的打卡地標。
