福連國小前身可追溯至1922年（日治時期）設立的卯澳分教場，於1947年獨立設校，正式定名為福連國民小學。校舍依山傍海，座落於卯澳灣畔的懸崖上，色彩繽紛的階梯式校舍已成為知名拍照景點，校旁的免費海水浴場也供學生與遊客使用。
