Fuke Junior High was established in 2007 on land jointly developed by Taichung City and the Taiwan Sugar Corporation, welcoming its first students in 2009. The school now enrolls around 1,650 students and sits near Donghai University, Taichung Veterans General Hospital, and the Central Taiwan Science Park.
