A lineage stretching back to 1896.
Zhenxi Elementary traces its origins to the Yunlin Mandarin Training Institute (雲林國語傳習所), established in 1896 during the early years of Japanese rule — making it one of Yunlin County's oldest schools by lineage. Over more than a century, the school has grown into a modern institution serving the Douliu city center, distinguished today as the only elementary school in Yunlin County with a formal, dedicated music program, alongside a gifted-education track and a percussion ensemble.
