Douliu Junior High began in 1960 as a branch school, became independent in 1962, and took its current name in 1968. Located near the Yunlin County Government complex, it now enrolls roughly 2,300 students across grades 7 through 9, making it one of the larger junior highs in the county. Its girls' soft tennis team, active since 1973, is a signature program with more than five decades of continuous history.
斗六國中創校於民國49年(1960年),最初為分校,民國51年(1962年)獨立設校,民國57年(1968年)更為現名。學校鄰近雲林縣政府,目前七至九年級學生約2,300人,是縣內規模較大的國中之一。自民國62年(1973年)成立的女子軟式網球隊,是學校延續超過半世紀的招牌隊伍。
