Dongshi Industrial Vocational High School

Dongshi Industrial Vocational High School traces its roots to 1946, when local physician Dr. Liu Jiang-xing founded a grassroots vocational training class to teach the timber-and-craft trades that sustained Dongshi's hillside economy. That modest class grew over the decades into a full vocational high school offering 11 daytime and 6 evening or continuing-education technical programs, serving roughly 1,557 students today. The original campus was destroyed in the 1999 921 earthquake and rebuilt in 2004, and the school remains one of Dongshi District's central educational institutions.

東勢工業高級中等學校（東勢工業）源自民國35年（1946年）由地方醫師劉江星發起的基層技藝講習班，教授支撐東勢山城經濟的木材與工藝技術。這個小小的講習班歷經數十年發展，成為今日設有11個日間部與6個夜間/進修部技術科別、學生人數約1,557人的完整高職。原校舍於1999年921大地震中損毀，2004年重建，至今仍是東勢區重要的教育機構。
