Donghe Elementary School

Donghe Elementary began in 1950 as a branch classroom serving the children of Dongxing Village in Tianzhong Township. It gained independent status on August 1, 1961, becoming Donghe National Elementary School in its own right. Sitting at the foot of a mountain on the edge of Tianzhong, the school today carries a motto that captures its outlook: standing rooted in its rural setting while keeping an eye on the wider world.

東和國小創校於民國39年（1950年），最初是田中鎮東興里的分教場（分班），於民國50年8月1日（1961年）獨立設校，正式定名為東和國民小學。學校座落於田中鎮邊緣的山腳下，校訓「立足山腳下，胸懷全世界」正呼應了這所學校紮根鄉土、放眼世界的精神。
