A steady presence in farming country.
Daxing Elementary opened in 1957 and took its current name in 1968. Located in a rural farming area of Guangfu Township, the school has long served as more than a place of learning: when Typhoon Toraji struck in 2001, Daxing Elementary served as a community shelter and anchor for the surrounding area's recovery, a role that speaks to how central small rural schools remain to Taiwanese township life.
