Growth along the shoreline.
Yong'an Elementary School began in 1970 as a grades 1–4 branch campus of Haiqian Elementary School, known then as "Haiqian Elementary Yong'an Branch." It became fully independent in 1975, a split that reflects the growth of Daan District's fishing-village population along the district's shoreline.
