Baozhong Elementary was founded in 1917 as a Japanese-era branch teaching site of Tuku Public School, becoming independent in 1947 after Taiwan's retrocession. Today the school anchors Baozhong Township's seat, and its students have found creative success beyond the classroom: their lantern artwork won the parent-child category at the 2017 Taiwan Lantern Festival, which that year was held in Yunlin County.
褒忠國小創立於1917年（日治大正6年），最初是土庫公學校的分教場，1947年（台灣光復後）獨立設校。如今學校座落於褒忠鄉治所在地，學生的創意表現也走出校園：他們的花燈作品曾在2017年雲林台灣燈會的親子組比賽中奪冠。
