Ziqiang Junior High School

Ziqiang Junior High was approved for planning in 1998 and formally established in 2001, making it one of the newer secondary schools in Zhudong Township. In the years since, its wind band ensemble has become a source of local pride, earning top honors at the National Student Music Competition for nine consecutive years and taking gold plus best-team honors at an international competition in 2013. The school is now approaching a major transition: starting in August 2026, it is scheduled to convert into an industrial vocational senior high school, offering programs in electrical, electronic, and chemical engineering.

自強國中於民國87年（1998年）獲准籌設，民國90年（2001年）正式成立，是竹東鎮較年輕的國中之一。多年來，學校的管樂團屢獲佳績，連續九年在全國學生音樂比賽中奪得優等，並於2013年在國際賽事中獲得金牌及最佳團隊獎。學校即將迎來重大轉型：自2026年8月起，預計轉型為工業類科高職，開設電機、電子、化工等科別。
