A branch school grown independent, beside a Qing-era temple.

Sheliao Junior High began life as a branch campus of Yanhe Junior High before becoming an independent school in 1976. It is a small rural school serving four villages, home mostly to Hoklo farming families. The school partners closely with the community's historic Zinan Temple — founded in 1745 — to run tea-ceremony arts and craft clubs, connecting students directly to one of Zhushan's most storied local landmarks.
