National Chushan Senior High School

National Chushan Senior High School was founded in August 1961 as a branch of Provincial Nantou Middle School, becoming an independent school in 1966. In 2000, the school was reorganized under national administration and adopted a comprehensive high school model, offering students tracks in science, social science, business and commerce, information technology, and design/art. As Zhushan's only senior high school, it anchors education for the historic old walled town and trains students in tracks that connect naturally to the township's craft and business traditions.

國立竹山高級中學創校於民國50年（1961年）8月，原為省立南投中學分部，民國55年（1966年）獨立設校。民國89年（2000年）改隸國立，並採綜合高中制，設有自然、社會、商業、資訊、設計與藝術等學程。作為竹山鎮唯一的高級中學，學校是這座歷史悠久的清代竹山古城教育體系的核心，其設計與工藝相關學程也與當地竹藝、商業傳統緊密呼應。
